"LIGHT AS MATTER"
This collection represents a shift toward exploring light as a tangible element, delving into introspection and the essence of "Self". Influenced by abstract lyricism and post-expressionism, the artworks blend the biological, spiritual, and emotional, highlighting light that radiates from within rather than being superficially applied. This body of work embodies a serene strength — a perceptive sensibility that values connection over dominance, depth over mere appearance. The paintings possess a balanced energy of groundedness and transcendence, conveying both tranquility and complexity.
Through intricate textures and inherent luminosity, "Light AS Matter" celebrates evolution — a transition from external influence to inner knowing, from outward expression to core essence. Like light itself, it illuminates and transforms — a visual exploration into peace and self-awareness.
In Light as Matter, I step into chromatic abstraction — a space where light itself becomes substance, where painting transforms into a living membrane that breathes relief, silence, and transformation. After two years of painting as a process of healing, I now experience a profound sense of release. This series represents letting go — of control, of past wounds, of everything that no longer serves. It is about freedom of being and the quiet joy of rediscovering my inner rhythm. When I paint now, I feel a physical and emotional exhale — a relief that turns into light.
Dualities and Impermanence: Each work lives within a field of dualities — memory and loss, time and erosion, control and surrender, silence and breath.
Through these contrasts, I explore the impermanent nature of strength: how power can also be soft, how presence can reside in absence.
This series reveals a new form of strength — one expressed through lightness, restraint, and vulnerability.
Material, Color, and Light: Here, color and matter become sculptural, and surface and pigment intertwine.
Using gesso, sand, and modeling paste, I build tactile foundations that hold traces of memory.
I layer translucent glazes, trace vertical marks, conceal hidden glints of gold, and create intentional erasures — gestures that reveal both presence and disappearance.
The result is a living diffusion, a surface that absorbs and releases light differently throughout the day — like breathing.
From Intimate to Monumental: The series begins with small, contemplative works — the spiritual side of minimalism — and evolves toward large-scale canvases exceeding 180 × 180 cm. Each painting invites immersion; it is not meant to be merely seen, but experienced.
The light within them shifts with time, transforming space into silence.
Texture as Identity: My art speaks through texture — sand, gesso, modeling paste — a material language that has become my identity.
Unlike the smooth surfaces of traditional abstraction, these works embody micro-topographies that catch light and shadow, creating a sense of movement and vitality.
They are skins of emotion, where light becomes tactile and memory becomes visible.
Feminine Lineage and Empowerment: As a woman who lived decades in high-level leadership before turning to art, my work carries a lineage of resilience, memory, and renewal. Through abstraction, I reclaim my voice — transforming discipline into intuition, control into flow.
The feminine in my art does not announce itself; it breathes quietly beneath the layers, through patience, repetition, and endurance.
Each painting becomes a gesture of empowerment through absence and silence.
A Living Presence: Light as Matter marks the evolution of my voice — from expression to essence.
It is abstraction with soul: textured, luminous, memory-rich, and deeply feminine.
In these works, light is not just an element — it is being itself, the space between holding on and letting go.
Each piece is an act of healing, a reminder that strength can exist in softness, and presence can be found in breath.
