"THE BLUES" - Breaking Stereotypes
"The Blues Collection" is my most extensive body of work — an emotional landscape born from the roots of Breaking Stereotypes, where blue colour becomes both liberation and language. These paintings began as a reflection on the cultural and emotional weight of “blue” — a colour often associated with melancholy, yet here reimagined as a space of strength, serenity, and transformation. Each work unfolds like a tide of memory and renewal, where light and shadow merge in quiet dialogue. Layered with deep “blues” pigments, textured with gesso, sand, and intuition, every surface carries the rhythm of breathing — a balance between movement and stillness, emotion and structure. In this series, blue is not a mood but a state of being — expansive, meditative, infinite. It evokes the serenity of water and the vastness of sky, capturing that suspended moment between gravity and grace where reflection becomes healing. Created for spaces that value presence, authenticity, and atmosphere, "The Blues" Collection transforms spaces into silent horizons of peace and depth — spaces where emotions can settle, thoughts can slow, and beauty becomes a form of calm. It is both a visual meditation and a statement of freedom: a reminder that breaking stereotypes — in art, in gender, in emotion — begins with the courage to feel deeply and express quietly.
